Milica Ilic

Milica Ilic is one of Australia’s hottest music talents. At the age of 24, she has already toured Australia, Southeast Asia and the UK with such legendary artists as José Carreras and Tommy Emmanuel. Her debut CD ‘RougeGuitar’ has confirmed her place as an artistic tour de force, with Australian critics hailing Milica as ‘a fiery combination of virtuosic skill and originality’. Most recently, Milica was honoured as ‘West Australian Citizen of the Year 2004’.

In 2006 sounds of Milica's stunning debut album Rouge Guitar were aired on UK's Classic FM for the first time and Australia's ABC Classic FM Radio broadcast a full hour's concert and interview with Milica. Her works have received regular airplay since. As part of her UK tour 2005 she was interviewed on UK's BBC Scotland and BBC Belfast, which included live broadcasts of her works.

Milica entered the music school aged seven. She covered the first year’s work within three months and soon the hard work began to payoff. At age 17 she graduated as the highest ranking guitar student in Western Australia. Four years later she also received her first class honours in Music. In tandem with all the hard academic work she put in, she fuelled her passion for music with continual performances, which took her to exotic, tropical Darwin, the mystifying Angkor Wat and saw her spend a bohemian winter in Prague.

Milica’s mix of stage presence, ability to hold an audience and good looks attracted numerous sponsors willing to align their business with a quality act. Offers of a lucrative modeling career naturally followed, however Milica’s passion for guitar kept her focused on music.

Currently based in London, Milica is preparing for the release of her second album, Desert Rain. The disc is due for release later this year and features all of Milica's own compositions and a variety of styles.
